New Pool Construction: Installing a swimming pool in your backyard can be equally exciting and daunting. On the one hand, you’ll see your vision of a custom swimming pool come to life and increase the value of your property. On the other hand, you will have to contend with plenty of activity during the construction process. As such, knowing what to expect during the pool construction process will help minimize stress and uncertainty.
Layout Design
Before construction starts, you will meet with a pool builder to discuss your desires, budget, and space considerations. This is your opportunity to share your wildest pool dreams and collaborate with experts to create a design that perfectly suits your lifestyle and preferences. The final design will consider your shape, size, and depth preferences. It will also account for landscaping features, such as plants and fences.
Permits
Once the design is complete, the next step is obtaining the necessary permits and approvals from local authorities. While this may seem tedious, ensuring that your new pool complies with all regulations and safety standards is crucial. Fortunately, your pool builder will handle all the paperwork so you can focus on the exciting journey ahead.
Excavation
The excavation process marks the beginning of construction. The process requires precision and expertise to ensure that your pool’s dimensions are exact and the foundation is solid.
Plumbing and Electrical Installation
After digging the hole, your pool builders lay the groundwork for your pool’s plumbing and electrical systems. From water filtration and circulation systems to lighting fixtures, these systems are critical to your swimming pool’s cleanliness, safety, and function.
Finishing Touches and Landscaping
As your pool nears completion, your contractor’s attention turns to the finishing touches that will elevate it into a coveted backyard paradise. They will install tiles in your pool’s interior, lay the deck, and finalize landscaping to enhance its beauty.
Final Inspection and Opening
Before using your new pool, it must be inspected to ensure it meets safety standards and regulations. Once approved, you can fill the pool with water.
